Check your local Girl/Boy Scout council office. They may sell a product
called Patch Attach. I haven't tried it, but hear it works well IF you take
a knife and slightly score the hard plastic backing they put on patches
(haven't ordered the LbNA patches, so not sure if they have that backing,
but most have something on them to prevent unravelling). Anyway, the
scoring is supposed to help give the glue something to hold onto better.

You could also use seam sealer available from most outdoors stores.
On the areas that you sew on the pack.
